The Translator movie

At the STUDIO art cinema, I accompanied its artistic director, Velissarios Kossyvakis, at the official premiere of the film "A translator," which addresses the sensitive issue of medical and specialized care offered by Cuba to people affected by radiation produced by the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident, especially girls and boys.

After his cordial invitation to address a few words to the spectators who were in the room, I briefly referred to the action of Cuba that, promoted by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, gave life to the most extensive and humane program carried out for such an action in the world. That deeply humanistic and supportive program lasted more than 20 years and thousands of patients were treated in it.
