Travel agents and airlines exchange in Jamaica on EVisa platform implementation

Kingston, 15 May 2024. The Third Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica, Anabel Landrón Ochoa, in charge of consular affairs, held an exchange with executives of the travel agencies Caribbean and Latin Travel and Chagod Tour and Cayman Airways and Intercaribbean Airways.

The Cuban diplomat provided details on the upcoming implementation of the new electronic tourist visa system (EVisa), which was announced by Cuban Minister of Tourism Juan Carlos García Granda during the International Tourism Fair (FITCuba2024).  She also referred to the new characteristics and advantages of the system, which will allow to offer a more agile and efficient service.

The executives of the participating travel agencies and airlines expressed their gratitude for the initiative and discussed the challenges and opportunities of using the new platform. They reaffirmed their willingness to continue promoting the destination Cuba and multi-destination tourism between Jamaica and Cuba.
