As part of the activities carried out by the Cuban Embassy in Ghana, on the occasion of Africa Day, the members of its staff, led by the Ambassador Pedro Luis Despaigne González, gathered around the “Tree of Solidarity” to reiterate their unbreakable friendship towards the mother continent.
The tree, today a symbol of solidarity with Cuba in Ghana, was planted on May 25, 2018, in the courtyard of the Embassy during the celebration of the 55th Anniversary of the African Union, in activity that had a significant presence of organizations that in Ghana support the Cuban Revolution. Two years later it has grown and strengthened, just as the ties between the sisterly nations of Cuba and Ghana have done.
With the planting of the tree, the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba in Ghana ratified its commitment to Cuba in the fight against the blockade. (Cubaminrex / Embacuba Ghana)
