TRIBUTE TO THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF FIDEL CASTRO IN ATHENS

A heartfelt tribute to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, was held in Athens, to commemorate the sixth anniversary of his physical disappearance, on November 25, 2016.
The event, convened by the New Star Group, with the participation of members of organizations that make up the solidarity movement with Cuba in Greece, representatives of parties, youth organizations, personalities from various sectors, and members of the diplomatic corps, took place in the theater of that cultural institution and was attended by a large group of people who gathered to remember and pay a warm tribute to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.
Several speakers intervened at the event, highlighting the trajectory, values and principles of the man who guided the Cuban people to the conquest of their real and definitive independence and led the first Socialist Revolution on the American continent, already recognized for the present and the future, as a symbol of all peoples who fight for true democracy, sovereignty, national independence, social justice and peace.
The Ambassador of Cuba in Greece, Aramís Fuente Hernández, delivered a speech, highlighting important aspects of the personality and the intense revolutionary work of the Cuban leader and the extraordinary legacy left by him not only to Cubans, but to all the peoples of the world for the fight against exploitation, for the dignity and honor of men and women and for a better world.
There were also songs and short documentaries that highlighted important aspects of the life of the unforgettable revolutionary leader.
