Stockholm, December 4. At the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Sweden and with the representation of friends of solidarity, cuban residents and mission personnel, tribute was paid to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, on the 7th anniversary of his physical disappearance.
Audiovisual materials were projected that addressed the life and work of the Commander, while there were words of gratitude and memories from the participants.
“Fidel has not died, he lives stronger than ever in our hearts,” said Second Secretary Yohanna Cordero, in her words to those present during the simple but emotional tribute.
The commitment to the ideals of social justice, equality and resistance that Fidel bequeathed to us are still alive, as is his figure. Palpable even in the commitment of this generation to continue fighting for the independence of Cuba, against imperialism, the blockade and for a more just, sustainable and socialist society.
To conclude, all those present placed a rose next to the photograph that presided over the meeting, as a symbol of unbreakable love and respect for the indelible mark that Fidel left in the world and in the hearts of all Cubans.
