Kuala Lumpur, October 28, 2024 – Since October 20, Malaysia has been hosting a Journey dedicated to Cuban Culture in Malaysia, which has stood out for activities and events showcasing the cultural richness of Cuba. During the journey, the public had the opportunity to enjoy various artistic and cultural manifestations that highlighted Cuban cultural heritage and also served as a tribute to those who carry the art of this island around the world.
One of the highlights was the participation in the 22nd edition of the Latin American Film Festival in Kuala Lumpur, with the screening of the classic comedy film "La Muerte de un Burócrata," which captured the attention and enthusiasm of attendees, providing a glimpse of the remarkable Cuban cinematography.
Throughout the week, tobacco enthusiasts could witness live demonstrations by a Cuban cigar roller in different Cigar Divans in the city, an experience that allowed participants to appreciate the skill and tradition of Cuban cigar making. Habanos roller Javier Rodríguez Rodríguez also offered several master classes in the capital on the process of crafting cigars.
The celebration culminated in a cultural event on the night of October 28, which included a notable live music performance, offering an authentic display of Cuban rhythms. The gala also featured the presence of the cigar roller Javier Rodríguez, and a tribute was paid to the Bayamo Anthem, an emotional moment that resonated with the patriotic spirit and culture of Cuba.
