Tribute to Fidel in Santa Lucia.

A tribute activity to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, on the occasion of the third anniversary of his physical disappearance took place yesterday at the residence of the Ambassador of Cuba in this country. The activity was organized by the Humanistic Association of Solidarity Cuba-Santa Lucia and was attended by more than 80 people, including members of the aforementioned organization, the Association of graduates in Cuba, representatives of different social sectors and the diplomatic corps. Ambassador Alejandro Simancas, who was in charge of the central words, said that Fidel has been a moral shield and that his ideas and ethical values ​​will continue to guide the construction of a socialist, independent and sovereign Cuba. Also speaking, Marlene Alexander, President of the Humanistic Association of Solidarity; Jamal Francis, President of the Association of Graduates in Cuba; Jovita St. Marthe, Former Ambassador in Havana and Virginia Albert-Poyotte, also graduated in Cuba. In all cases, they expressed their solidarity with Cuba and highlighted Fidel's fundamental role in the development of relations with the Caribbean and with Saint Lucia. At the end of the activity, the documentary “Merit is to be alive” was presented, which chronicles the CIA's war against Cuba and the attempts of attacks made against the Commander in Chief.
