Tribute to Fidel in Sri Lanka

SRI LANKA, December 2 d 2018. - The Association of Graduates in Cuba of Sri Lanka paid tribute to the Commander in Chief, on the occasion of the second anniversary of his demise.

After placing a wreath to the Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Dr. Ajith Madurapperuma, Dean of the Faculty of Computing of the "Open University", on behalf of the graduates, expressed his gratitude to Cuba and above all to Fidel for the opportunity to prepare themselves as excellent professionals to serve their country. He recalled the meeting held by the Sri Lankan students with the Commander in Chief, who told them that their main duty was to study hard and then return to serve their country.

For his part, Dr. Udaya Rajapakse, on behalf of all graduates and especially medical graduates, rejected the statements of the president-elect of Brazil about Cuban doctors who have so honorably fulfilled their duty in that country. He recognized the quality of Cuban medicine and especially its doctors.

Very emotional were the words of the young architect, Keshani de Silva, graduated from the University of Santiago de Cuba, who remembers her years in Cuba as the best of her life, reading a poem, of her authorship, dedicated to Fidel.

The Ambassador of Cuba, Juana Elena Ramos Rodriguez, thanked the graduates, who, accompanied by their families, came to pay tribute to the Leader of the Cuban Revolution, and highlighted the validity of the work and ideas of our undefeated Commander in Chief.
