The male group of the staff of the Cuban Embassy paid tribute to the Cuban Women on the occasion of the International Day dedicated to them.
Among those females honored were members of the staff of the embassy, a representation of females of the Medical Brigade, and the Cuban residents in Ghana.
The First Secretary, Julio César Sánchez, in his introductory words to the activity, highlighted the role that Cuban women’s have played throughout the history of Cuba, and emphasized their heroism in solving the problems of daily life caused by the economic blockade, which for more than six decades affects Cuban families.
The attending to the activity ratified their commitment to the fight against the blockade and in favor of the continuity of the Cuban Revolution. It was a moment of joy, but also of reflection.
