Georgetown, November 25, 2020. Four years after the physical departure of the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, officials, health workers, and collaborators of the Cuban State Mission in Guyana paid tribute of remembrance to who undoubtedly continues to be present in each revolutionary.
Counselor Ana Violeta Castañeda recalled Fidel's revolutionary work and referred to the need to study his thoughts and, above all, to practice his teachings on a daily basis.
As part of the activity, several videos of the Commander-in-Chief were played, including his speech where he expressed the concept of Revolution.
Ambassador Narciso Reinaldo Amador Socorro, expressed that this year the people of Cuba together with their leaders have shown that Fidel's teachings guide us and that the Revolution continues moving forward in a context in which we have faced difficult situations either due to the pandemic of the COVID-19 or as the repeated and persistent harassment of imperialism that has intensified the economic, commercial and financial blockade as well.
The Ambassador considered that this day was a propitious moment to recognize the work of health workers, officials and collaborators who, with their dedication to work, have managed to maintain the vitality of their work and fulfill the objectives of Cuba's foreign policy. Setting an example of austerity with the measures adopted, the Ambassador reiterated that this attitude is the best tribute to Fidel, of whose revolutionary work we are all inheritors.
