Islamabad, January 18, 2017. The Pakistan-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Senate, in coordination with the Cuban Embassy, organized today a commemorative seminar in honor of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz. The event was chaired by Pakistan Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani, Group Convener Senator Mushahid Hussain, and Cuban Ambassador Gabriel Tiel Capote, speakers at this memorable commemoration. Representatives of the Pakistani Doctors Graduates in Cuba Association, the Pakistan-Cuba Social Forum and several Senators also spoke at the meeting. Heads of diplomatic missions and friends of the Cuban Revolution also attended. The speakers highlighted the legacy and significance of Fidel Castro's thinking, his contribution to well-being and peace in Cuba and in various corners of the planet; as well as his valuable aid to Pakistan in the wake of the terrible earthquake in 2005.
