Trades Union Congress Ghana (TUC) Secretary General, Dr. Anthony Yaw Baah, sent a solidarity message to the Cuban people on May Day.
The message reflects that the Cuban people have been a great source of inspiration to the people of Ghana, in this sense he made an express call to the President of the United States to cease the unnecessary blockade that country has established against Cuba for about 60 years, for the decision of the Cuban people to exercise their self-determination. He also thanked Cuba for the technical support provided to Ghana and Africa in general, including the positive work carried out by Cuban doctors and their contribution to saving many lives.
The union leader assured that relations with the Cuban working people would be maintained, and finally congratulated the Cuban people on May Day. (Cubaminrex-Embacuba Ghana)
