Ankara, January 16, 2020. Turkey's Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism, Nadir Alpaslan, received the Cuban ambassador, Luis A. Amorós Núñez, at the headquarters of the ministry located in this capital.
At the cordial meeting, both parties reviewed joint actions to be developed to consolidate and expand the links in the field of tourism due to many reasons, including the great interest for Cuban destiny among Turkish visitors and the potential to increase bilateral cooperation in this important sector, including in business and investment.
The Antillean Ambassador updated the Turkish representative on relevant issues regarding the Cuban reality, including the resistance against the reinforcement measures of the US blockade, in particular those of extraterritorial nature and impacting in third countries. He took the opportunity to inform about the next edition of the International Tourism Fair of Cuba (FITCuba 2020) and encouraged the participation of the highest authorities of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
