As part of her official visit to the Republic of Cuba, Ambassador Yaprak Balkan, Director General for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, visited the monument erected in honor of the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, located in Havana.
The senior official was accompanied by members of her official delegation and representatives of the Turkish business sector, who are also participating in activities aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between Türkiye and Cuba.
During the ceremony, tribute was paid to the memory of Atatürk with a floral offering, in a gesture that reaffirms the historical ties and mutual respect between the two countries.
This activity was part of the official program developed during the visit, which also included the celebration of the VII Round of Inter-Chancellery Political Consultations between Cuba and Türkiye, as well as exchanges with authorities and representatives of the Cuban economic sector.
