Abui Dhabi, Tuesday March 7. The Ambassador of Cuba in the United Arab Emirates, Norberto Carlos Escalona Carrillo paid a visit to the headquarters of the UAE News Agency, WAM, where he was received by its general director, Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi and his work team. After a tour through the facilities of the nation's main information entity, the Emirati leader reported on his recent trip to some Latin American countries, especially Cuba, showing great satisfaction with its results. The interest in continuing to work to disseminate more news and information about Cuba, the exchange of delegations and attendance at events in the respective countries was ratified.
Jalal Al Rayssi advanced the invitation for Cuba to attend the Global Media Congress again, in November 2023. The Cuban ambassador thanked the meeting and confirmed the willingness to implement the agreements reached in Havana with Cuban agencies and promote interrelation with other UAE media. The Cuban representative was accompanied by the Second Secretary, Ailyn Martínez Sarduy.
