UNAIDS Deputy Secretary General praises Cuba's leadership as Chair of the G-77, to strengthen South-South cooperation in health and science.

New York,  January 23rd, 2024.- The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations, Gerardo Peñalver Portal, held a cordial meeting in Kampala, Uganda, with the Deputy Secretary General of UNAIDS, Winnie Byanyima.

During the meeting, Byanyima praised the leadership and management of Cuba at the head of the Group of 77 and China, in order to strengthen South-South cooperation in the field of health and science.
