Harare, November 29, 2025 – The Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Zimbabwe, Dr. Ayodele Odusola, held a pleasant dialogue today with the Ambassador of Cuba to this African nation, Her Excellency Ms. Susellys Pérez Mesa.
Upon receiving the diplomat from the Caribbean island, Odusola presented a detailed overview of UNDP projects in Zimbabwe and, in particular, the positive results achieved in areas such as community electrification, combating HIV/AIDS, and agriculture.
The Ambassador provided an overview of the historical bilateral relations and current cooperation programs, as well as the priorities on the agenda between the two countries.
The UN program representative, for his part, acknowledged Cuba's contributions to Zimbabwe, particularly in areas such as health and education.
Both sides also discussed potential joint initiatives that could yield concrete results for Zimbabwe.
