Paris, 20 March. UNESCO participates in the XIX edition of the Convention and International Fair Informática 2024 to be held from 18 to 22 March 2024, in Havana, Cuba.
The multilateral entity will be represented by the Assistant Director-General for Communication and Information, Dr. Tawfik Jelassi, who will participate in a virtual way.
On this occasion, the theme of the event will be "For a digital society", to socialize results based on research, innovation and collective development, so as to project the importance, the use and capabilities provided by Information and Communication Technologies in the transition to a digital society.
With the presence of 1 200 delegates, this event began with a scientific program of the Convention that includes nine round tables, 38 panels, 80 lectures and more than 350 presentations from other countries.
Informatica 2024 will allow the discussion of important issues such as digital transformation, challenges and challenges, which is in line with UNESCO’s actions in digital policies and digital transformation, as well as universal access to information and digital inclusion.
