Universities of Cuba and Malaysia sign Memorandum of Understanding

Kuala Lumpur, December 9- The Mara Technological University (UiTM) and the University of Havana, signed a memorandum of understanding on friendship and cooperation, promotion of mutual understanding, academic, cultural and scientific thinking and the exchange of personnel in the headquarters of that university center.

The document was signed by the rector of the university Emeritus Professor Datuk Dr Mohd Azraii Kassim and the Cuban ambassador, Ibete Fernández, for the Cuban side, later it will be signed by the rector of the University of Havana, Miriam Nicado.

This MOU will allow the UiTM and the University of Havana to deepen collaboration in specific fields and also exchange mutually beneficial information.

Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) is a comprehensive university with a total of 500 academic programs for diploma, bachelor, master and doctorate. The mission of the university is to enhance the knowledge and expertise of Bumiputeras (Malays and Indigenous) in all fields of study through professional programs, research work, and community service.
