V Cuba-Türkiye Technical Follow-up Meeting for economic-commercial collaboration is held.

On January 28, the V Cuba-Türkiye Technical Follow-up Meeting for economic-commercial collaboration was held in Istanbul. This session was chaired by Ana Teresita González Fraga, First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, and Mr. Mustafa Tuzcu, Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye: This visit allowed reviewing the various issues of mutual interest in the economic, commercial and financial areas, specifically in sectors such as energy, transport, agri-food, health, tourism and biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. In the context of the visit, a Business Forum organized by the Türkiye Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) was held. First Deputy Minister Ana Teresita González Fraga also held meetings with Mr. Faruc KAYMAKCI, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, Mr. Serkan KAYALAR, President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and Mr. Faik YAVUZ, Vice President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Shipping and Commodities of Türkiye (TOBB).

This edition of the Technical Meeting is a clear demonstration of the shared will to strengthen economic and commercial relations and to raise them to the same level of political relations. Cuba and Türkiye have been linked by historical ties of brotherhood, solidarity and mutual respect for more than 70 years.
