Valdés Mesa held talks with his Turkish counterpart, Cevdet Yilmaz.

"We are encouraged by the fact that Cuba is the Latin American country that has the most trade with Turkey," said Vice-President Valdés Mesa in talks with his Turkish counterpart, Cevdet Yilmaz, whom he thanked for his country's participation in the recovery of the National Electro-energy System.

The level of political and bilateral relations between the two countries is high, he said, and we intend to continue strengthening them in areas such as agro-industry, as well as the production of medicines and biotechnological products.

For his part, the Turkish vice-president assured that we are also willing to promote relations with Cuba in areas associated with energy, construction and tourism. This, he said, would also contribute to strengthening ties between the two countries.
