Ankara, Turkey, September 28, 2018. The Vice President of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT), Guillermo Manuel Pavón Pacheco, who heads a delegation of this institution, held a series of meetings over the past three dayswith senior representatives of the turkish government linked with radio, television and information activities in general, as well as with cooperation and international relations
In this way, he met, among others, with Erkan Durdu, the Deputy General Director of the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), the homologous institution of the ICRT; the Vice President of the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TIKA), Dr. Birol Cetin; the deputy head of the General Directorate of Information of the Presidency and the Director General of the Americas of the Foreign Ministry of the Eurasian country, Mehmet Zajhit Sobaci and Inan Ozyildiz, respectively.
The meetings addressed issues of mutual interest in the field of radio, television and general media and information work, including technical development and audiovisual exchange, cultural promotion, information and work experiences. In addition, guidelines were defined to expand cooperative relations in this sector.
The Vice President of the Cuban institute thanked the TRT training program for technical directors of the ICRT, members of the Cuban delegation, as well as the Turkish support against the blockade policy imposed on Cuba, which also affects Cuban radio and television. His visit has shown the good state of bilateral relations and evidenced potential to continue developing ties and cooperation between both countries. (Embacuba Turkey).
