The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, left for Havana to fulfill the invitation received from the First Vice President of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Salvador Valdés Mesa.
The Dr. Bawumia will be the Special Guest of Honour at the Graduation Ceremony of the 232 new Ghanaian doctors, who completed their training in Cuban classrooms in a successful way.
The visit of the Vice President, and the one made last April by the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, are a sign of the maturity of the bilateral relations, which in the current year arrive at their Sixty Anniversary.
The distinguished visitor was saw off at the International Airport of Accra by the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Cuba, Julio César Sánchez.
