The Deputy Prime Minister of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrisas, received today the general director of the Thai International Cooperation Agency, Ureerat Chareontoh, who is on a working visit to the country.
The meeting was held in the context of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations and both leaders highlighted the positive state of bilateral ties.
They also agreed on the broad perspectives to strengthen cooperation in sectors of mutual interest and to promote joint projects for the development of South-South cooperation and with third countries.
For his part, Cabrisas made reference to Cuba's status as protempore president of the Group of 77 and China.
The also head of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment ratified the interest in having the participation of the Thai agency in the implementation of the projects promoted by Cuba, aimed at promoting compliance with the objectives of the 2030 Agenda and post-pandemic recovery. .
Meanwhile, Chareontoh expressed his satisfaction with the exchanges held with different Cuban organizations and the promising prospects for developing projects in the sectors of health, environment, innovation, biotechnology and agriculture, among others.
Chareontoh highlighted the privilege of learning from the experiences of Cuba during his visit, a country that he considers an example of the cooperation that a developing country can offer to other nations in need.
Chareontoh and his delegation arrived in Havana this Monday for a working visit that will last until tomorrow, in compliance with an invitation from Cabrisas Ruiz.
