A delegation of the General Customs of the Republic of Cuba (GCR), headed by its chief, Nelson Cordovés Reyes, fulfilled a work agenda in Vietnam between November 10 and 14.
The Cuban delegation exchanged with the General Director of the Vietnam General Department of Customs, Nguyen Van Can, about the state and prospects of cooperation between the two institutions, based on the Memorandum signed in 2013.
The guests knew about the development of the Indo-Chinese country in customs matters with the application of the mechanism of Vietnam Single Window (VNSW), Single Window of ASEAN in Vietnam (ASW), as well as the experiences of customs management in industrial parks and the field of e-commerce.
The delegation also met with the customs departments of the Noi Bai International Airport in the capital city, and Cai Lan port, in the northeastern province of Quang Ninh.
When talking to the staff of the Embassy of Cuba, Cordovés Reyes reviewed the current Cuban customs regulations and mentioned the impact of the recent measures taken by the government to strengthen industry and domestic trade, and boost the national economy.
In the mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh, the GCR representatives paid tribute to the outstanding Vietnamese revolutionary.
