Kuala Lumpur, January 23- The Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández Hernández, paid a courtesy visit to the headquarters of the Malaysian Association of South-South Cooperation (MASSA) where she was received by her executive secretary, Ng Su Fun.
During the meeting the ambassador was interested in the work of this organization and the possibilities of establishing collaborative relationships with the Cuban mission to disseminate business and investment opportunities on the island and cooperation in sectors of interest to Malaysia.
Ms. Su Fun explained about the work being done by the association to promote trade and investment ties of Malaysia with emerging economies, highlighting progress with Africa and ASEAN in the current context. He also offered the association's platform to make Cuba known among the Malaysian business sector.
The organization was created in 1991 during the term of Dr. Tun Mahathir as the fourth prime minister of Malaysia with the aim of fostering south-south cooperation.
