NIGERIA, October 26, 2018. From October 21 to 25, the Cuban Embassy in Nigeria received the Director of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) from Africa and the Middle East, Yahimí Rodríguez, who paid a visit of work because of the organization of the VI Regional Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba.
During his stay in Nigeria, he held meetings with members of the Board of Directors of the Nigeria Labor Congress, the largest trade union center in the country, who were grateful for the visit of the official; with the Director of America and the Caribbean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. GM Onkoko and with Members of the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba, in the latter a Declaration was approved in favor of lifting the blockade imposed by the United States Government against the people Cuban.
These meetings allowed exchanging ideas, opinions and experiences on the preparation of the VI Regional Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, an event scheduled to be held next year in Abuja. In addition, they were given information on the work carried out by ICAP, the associations that it has around the world, and the appreciation of that institution for the support of global solidarity, in this case Nigeria, in the defense of Cuban causes.
