The Chargé d'Affaires of the Cuban Embassy in Gambia, Laura Elízabeth Martínez Galindo, together with the head of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Gambia, Dr. Juan Oquendo Montes, and other colleagues, paid a visit to the Cuban Medical Brigade in Kanifing with the aim of observing the work carried out by Cuban health professionals in the country.
During the tour, the delegation was received by the medical team, who presented the achievements and challenges faced in their health care work. The positive impact of medical cooperation between Cuba and The Gambia was highlighted, which has strengthened the local health system and provided quality care to the Gambian population.
The visit concluded with a recognition of the work of the Cuban Medical Brigade, whose efforts and dedication have been fundamental in guaranteeing access to health care in The Gambia, thus ratifying the spirit of solidarity and brotherhood between the two nations.
