Abuja, February 13, 2024.- The Ambassador of Cuba Miriam Morales Palmero visited the Nigerian Parliament where she held a meeting with the President of the Cuba-Nigeria Parliamentary Friendship Group, Senator Joshua Chinedu Obika.
The moment was favorable to address the action plan drawn up for the celebration on July 1 of the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Bilateral Relations between Cuba and Nigeria.
During the meeting, topics of bilateral interest were exchanged regarding parliamentary, economic and cooperation relations between both institutions, in addition to the interest in making an official visit to Cuba.
As a complement to the visit, they took a tour of the recently inaugurated National Parliamentary Library, which will concentrate the history of Nigerian politics and its main contributions to national development.
On the Nigerian side, the Special Assistant for Public Initiative, the Vice President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce for the Business Center (Friendship Group Consultant) and the Special Assistant for issues relating to the Federal Capital Abuja were present.
Third Secretary Ana Flavia Gómez Pavot was present on the Cuban side.
