Auckland, August 5. Young Cuban professionals Marianniz Díaz (immunologist) and Iván Barreto (ICAP official) successfully completed their visit to New Zealand.
On August 3, they visited the Waipareira Trust, the offices of the Foreign Ministry in Auckland, and the University of Auckland, where they spoke at the World Affairs Forum on Medical Research in Cuba and the US blockade.
The following day they met with academics from the University of Auckland Medical School and toured the Unitec campus, before attending a public meeting organized by the Auckland Cuba Friendship Society, organizer of this trip.
In all the meetings they spoke about the Cuban response to Covid 19, our health system, medical cooperation, and the effects of the blockade in all spheres of life in Cuba.
For their preparation and commitment, they received the recognition of all their interlocutors.
