Dili, September 9, 2026. At the GMN multipurpose hall, under the coordination of Dr. Nilesh Buddha, a gathering was held to foster camaraderie and recognize the work carried out by the Ministry of Health of
Timor-Leste for the benefit of the Timorese people—work that has earned international recognition.
During the event, tribute was paid to the attendees, including Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as other prominent figures in the global health sector.
The Cuban ambassador, Alina Aldama, was invited to the meeting and had the opportunity to engage in discussions with the aforementioned guests and with members of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country.
