With the presence of a large audience, the XVI edition of the LEA Festival, Literature in Athens, was inaugurated at the Acropolis Museum. This cultural event is sponsored by H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
The festival is organized every year by the non-profit entity LEA Festival Desarrollo Intercultural and the Cervantes Institute of Athens, with the participation of the Embassies of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Spain, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Portugal , Uruguay and Venezuela, and the Honorary Consulate General of Colombia in Greece.
As in each of its editions, writers from the Ibero-American world (Latin America, Spain and Portugal) participate who, together with their counterparts from Greece, interact in the various activities that make up the broad and attractive program of the event, which contributes to the foundation of bridges in the cultural and literary sphere.
