Vientiane, December 14, 2025. Another meeting was held with several generations of members of the Friendship Association and graduates in Cuba to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, as well as the 70th anniversary of the founding of the LPRP and the 105th birthday of the national leader and hero Kaysone Phomvihane.
Ambassador Enna Viant exchanged views with the participants, who were also alerted to the dangers posed by the military threat and against peace from the U.S. in the Latin American and Caribbean region, emphasizing the important role of international solidarity.
The diplomat expressed that she was comforted and grateful for the solidarity, the recognition of the Cuban Revolution's work and its historic leader, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, and the role in human resource training as an important contribution to the development of the Lao nation.
