On May 15th, young Cuban teachers Alexander Oreste Rodríguez Castillo and Brenda Luz Portal Enríquez completed their English studies at the Barbados Language Centre of Barbados Community College. The academic year they finished was not only a period of learning and effective teaching, but also an enriching experience for their professional growth, thanks to the excellent results they achieved and the exchange they maintained throughout the year with young people from other countries.
As part of an agreement signed by the Ministries of Education of both nations, this program completed its third term and will continue in order to strengthen ties in the academic sector. We thank the teachers and staff of the Barbados Language Centre, as well as the Barbadian families who hosted them with such dedication and responsibility.
We wish Brenda and Alexander every success in the future and hope they continue studying the language to reach higher levels of understanding and communication.
