Young Sri Lankan boxer to receive training in Cuba

Colombo, September 25, 2024. The young boxer Yasidu Vidurinda Mahadiulwewa Premaratina will travel to Cuba at the beginning of October to receive training for a period of three months, in coordination with the Cuban Boxing Federation.
The Sri Lankan boxer, accompanied by his father, was received at the Cuban diplomatic mission in Colombo by Ambassador Andrés Marcelo González Garrido and First Secretary Maribel Duarte González

Yasidu Vidurinda Mahadiulwewa Premaratna competed in the Penang Pesta International Tournament in Malaysia. The talented 20-year-old boxer in lightweight (60 kg) won a silver medal in Penang and expressed his great satisfaction at being able to receive training in a country of great boxers like Cuba.
