The Cuban team, which will participate in the XXIV U21 Youth Men's World Handball Championship, arrived in Athens this afternoon. The Cuban ambassador to Greece, Aramís Fuente Hernández, together with the person in charge of Consular Affairs, Roilán Wilson, welcomed them at the Eleftherios Venizelos international airport in this capital. Directors of the Hellenic Federation of that sport and a representation of Cubans residing in Greece were also present.
According to the event program, the Cuban youth team will face the Egyptian team in their first outing, in the preliminary round of group H, on June 20. His second appearance will be on the 21st, against the local team of Greece, and his third and last outing will be on the 23rd, against Saudi Arabia. If they win this preliminary round, they will move on to the second stage, which will take place between June 24 and 29.
All the games will take place in the Rentis ¨Melina Merkouri Sports Hall, in Athens.
