Zambian Minister of Youth, Sports and Arts receives the Cuban Ambassador.

Lusaka, December 3, 2024. The Minister of Youth, Sports and Arts of Zambia, Hon. Mr. Elvis Nkandu, MP received the Cuban Ambassador Marileydis Dueñas Morales, accompanied by senior officials from the ministry.

The meeting was conducive to discuss, on reinforcing the longstanding  bilateral cooperation between Zambia and Cuba in the fields of issues of culture and sports  which has flourished since the early 2000s. Among other topics they also focused on the new scholarship opportunities for  Zambian youth to pursue studies in the specialties of humanities and arts in Cuba, in addition to the annual medical scholarship Cuba already provides to Zambia.
