Harare, February 27, 2025- The President of Zimbabwe, Hon. Mr. Emmerson D. Mnangagwa, today demanded the end of the United States blockade of Cuba and its removal from the list of nations that supposedly sponsor terrorism.
In an emotional exchange after the official ceremony for the delivery of the letters of credence of the Ambassador of Cuba, Her Excellency. Mrs. Susellys Pérez Mesa, the president rejected the policy of unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Caribbean country, from which Zimbabwe also suffers its consequences.
Mnangagwa referred to the shared values, common interests and challenges of both countries, while highlighting the importance of multilateralism.
We oppose the inclusion of Cuba on the list of countries that allegedly support terrorism, emphasized the president of Zimbabwe.
During the dialogue at the Presidential Palace, the dignitary highlighted the renewed commitment to strengthening the historic bilateral relations in matters of health and education, with the desire to enhance cooperation in new areas of common interest.
