Zimbabwe is interested in hosting a Continental Solidarity Conference with Cuba
On the night of June 14, Cuban Ambassador Elio Savón Oliva met with delegates from Zimbabwe to the 5th African Continental Solidarity Conference with Cuba to hear their impressions of the event held from 5 to 7 June in Namibia.
This meeting, in which the Third Secretary of the Cuban Embassy Vladimir Guerra Díaz was present, discussed the positive results of the event and the good attentions received by the organizers as well as the possibility of Zimbabwe hosting in the future some edition of these solidarity conferences. In addition, it served to awaken ideas in order to continue strengthening the Zimbabwe-Cuba solidarity movement.
According to them Zimbabwe was among the best represented countries as the leader of the delegation was the President of the Senate, Honorable Chen Chimutengwende and it was the only country represented by a cabinet member, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs , Honorable Edgar Mbwembwe.
