Harare, May 16, 2025 – The Secretary for International Relations of the Zimbabwe African National Union Party - Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF), Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, received the Cuban Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Her Excellency Ms. Susellys Pérez Mesa. The ZANU-PF leader highlighted Cuba's resilience and determination to never surrender. He also considered it incredible that the peaceful people of the Caribbean country would be included on the United States' list of alleged sponsors of terrorism and, now, of those who do not support the fight against this scourge. The Ambassador advocated for strengthening relations between the two parties and outlined several initiatives on issues such as communication, exchange, and training. Mumbengegwi and Pérez Mesa discussed other topics on the bilateral agenda and matters of general interest. The exchange at the headquarters of Zimbabwe's ruling party was attended by Minister-Counselor Luis Enrique González Acosta, as well as officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
