Zimbabwean Minister of Health at Cuba Salud 2025

Harare, April 21, 2025 – Zimbabwe's Minister of Health and Child Welfare, Dr. Douglas T. Mombeshora, is leading the African nation's delegation to Cuba Salud 2025, starting today at the Havana Convention Center.

 

Mombeshora plans to participate in the One Health as a Comprehensive Health Strategy panel and in discussions on public health management models at the global, regional, and local levels, as well as those focused on strengthening health systems in the post-COVID-19 era.

 

He will also visit the Pabexpo, the venue for the 16th "Health for All" Trade Fair and the 2nd Medical Tourism and Wellness Fair.

 

The Zimbabwean Minister will visits institutions of interest to the Cuban National Health System and centers of the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industry.

 

The Mombeshora delegation is integrated of his assistant, the directors of Curative Services and Non-Communicable Diseases, and the deputy director of Communicable Diseases.

 

Zimbabwe will exchange experiences at the major event, which is attended by some 3,000 participants from more than 50 countries, with 400 scientific activities and 200 keynote addresses, panels, and symposia.

 

The head of the 14th Cuban Medical Brigade in this African country, Dr. María Eugenia García, is participating as part of the delegation.
