The Zimbabwe´s Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Lazarus Dokora reiterated to the Cuban ambassador his interest in expanding the ties of collaboration with Cuba in the field of education.
During an informal meeting, the Zimbabwean minister explained to the Cuban diplomat the process of reforms that his ministry is introducing in primary and secondary education, where the Cuban experience will be useful.
At the moment, a Memorandum of Understanding is being negotiated between the two countries, which should give legal status to cooperation in that field. Likewise, it is expected the hiring of Cuban experts to help in promoting research in the pedagogical area.
The Minister recently attended the International Congress on Education "Pedagogy 2017" in Cuba, on the margins of which he held official talks with his Cuban counterpart, Dr. Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella
