Zimbabwe's ZBC Highlights Cuba's Invitation to International Book Fair

Harare, December 17, 2025 – Zimbabwe's main television network, ZBC, highlighted today Cuba's invitation to the 34th Havana International Book Fair (FILH 2026) with the Martí-inspired motto "Reading is growing."

The announcement, published on the English-language website, emphasized the intention to dedicate this important cultural event to the centenary of the birth of the historical leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, with Russia as the Guest of Honor.

ZBC noted that FILH 2026 will be held primarily at the Morro-Cabaña Military Park in Havana, from February 12 to 22 of next year.

According to the schedule released by the television station, the Havana International Book Fair will host a comprehensive theoretical colloquium and the Young Writers' Meeting, as well as spaces dedicated to children and young people, such as the "Paper Treasure" Children's Pavilion.

Furthermore, the 34th FILH will present the Cuba Digital project along with a Business Forum to facilitate networking, marketing, and literary exchange.

Zimbabwe's television network praised the goal of strengthening ties between authors, publishers, and readers, offering a dynamic platform to showcase Cuban and international literature in multiple genres and formats.
