Cuba thanks U.S. religious leaders for solidarity support

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Thursday met with US religious leaders to whom he thanked for their activism in favor of the end of hostile US blockade against Cuba.

On Twitter, the Cuban diplomat heaped praise on initiatives done to change such a policy and call U.S. government to put an end to its genocidal blockade against Cuba.

Bank accounts set up for emergency donations to Cuba

Two accounts for emergency donations to Cuba were opened following the devastating passage of Hurricane Ian, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The first of these was opened by the Ministry of Foreign Trade at the International Financial Bank (BFI) under the name of EMERGENCY DONATIONS. The account number is 030000005336242 and the Swift code is BFICCUHHXXX.

The second account is at the International Bank of Commerce (Bicsa) under the name DONACIONES-CUBA. Its number is 0407610081870041 and the Swift code is BIDCCUHHXXX.

Cuba is ready to start recovery after Hurricane Ian

Havana, Sep 28 (Prensa Latina) Cuba's Prime Minister Manuel Marrero said that the country is getting ready to begin recovery after the impact of Hurricane Ian in the western region of the Caribbean island.

After the considerable damages caused by the meteorological event, with the greatest impact on the province of Pinar del Río, we will move forward in the shortest possible time, the Cuban head of government said on his Twitter account.
