Vigil against blockade of Cuba in the United States and the world

A vigil for peace and against the United States' blockade of Cuba will take place today in US cities and around the world following the call from the Puentes de Amor solidarity project.

In the case of Miami, the initiative will take place late on Thursday afternoon, in the vicinity of the international airport, according to the organizers.

The Council has a long-standing and genuine relationship of friendship with the National Council of Churches of Cuba, stated the Foreign Minister.

Washington DC, 25 September 2021.- Solidarity and unity of the peoples are of vital importance in these difficult times, the Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, stated during a meeting with members of the Cuba Solidarity Movement in the United States.

The meeting, which took place at the diplomatic headquarters of the Caribbean nation in New York, provided a space to thank the work done by friends of the island to raise funds and send 6 million syringes to support the vaccination campaign against COVID-19.
