American Jazz Orchestra in concert in Cuba.

The emblematic Casa de las Americas, in this capital, invites today to the concert to be given in its premises by the Harvard Jazz Orchestra, United States, under the conduction of Cuban Yosvany Terry.

The evening will be held at the Che Guevara Hall and will mark a new performance here of this group of young non-professionals in a reunion with the Cuban public.

During previous visits to Havana, this musical group has collaborated with national students and prestigious musicians of the island.

University of Arkansas strengthens ties with Cuba's Hemingway Museum.

The Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum of the University of Arkansas and the National Council for Cultural Heritage (CNPC) recently signed a memorandum of understanding in Havana to strengthen ties with the Ernest Hemingway Museum in Cuba.

According to the Cuban Ministry of Culture, this step will allow the intensification of academic contributions between the foreign institution and the museum dedicated to preserving Hemingway's legacy on the island.

Effects of U.S. policy against Cuba described as genocidal

The deputy director general of the U.S. Directorate of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Johana Tablada, today described as genocidal the inclusion of Cuba in the unilateral list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.

In an interview to the Caribbean Channel of national television, the diplomat explained that the recent exclusion of the island from a list of nations that "do not fully cooperate in the fight against terrorism" does not mean its elimination from the general list of the State Department that imposes measures against this Caribbean country.
