Cultural evening held at the Cuban Embassy in the U.S.A.

The Cuban Embassy in the United States celebrated today a cultural evening, in which the film "El mundo de Nelsito", by Cuban filmmaker Fernando Perez, was screened and a selection of Prensa Latina photos was inaugurated.

The presentation took place as part of the XVI Ibero-American Film Festival, the result of a joint effort with the Ibero-American Association of Cultural Attachés and its affiliated embassies.

IV International Congress JURISCUBA 2024 is convened in Cuba.

The Ministry of Justice (Minjus) of Cuba today convenes legal professionals and researchers to participate in the IV International Congress JURISCUBA 2024, to be held from October 15 to 17 in this capital.

According to a publication of the Minjus on the social network Facebook, the event will be held under the theme "Legal security, a challenge of the contemporary world", in the capital's Palacio de las Convenciones.

U.S. dockworkers union calls for an end to sanctions against Cuba.

During the convention of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU), which is currently in session at The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver, dock workers approved a resolution in favor of Cuba.

The proclamation requests the Biden administration to remove the Greater Antilles from the List of State Sponsors of Terrorism, as well as to vote in favor of the Cuban resolution that the Caribbean nation presents every year before the United Nations.

New rule in Cuba will contribute to regular and safe migration.

The new draft Migration Law, available today for Cuban citizens on the official website of the National Assembly of People's Power (parliament), will contribute to move towards a regular, orderly and safe migration.

This was stated by Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on the social network X, a platform where he highlighted the contributions of the regulatory provision to a migration that "contributes to the development of the nation, in accordance with our Constitution and the laws and international treaties on this matter".

U.S. calls for Cuba's exclusion from arbitrary terrorist list

Non-governmental and solidarity organizations in the United States reiterated their demand for the exclusion of Cuba from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, on which it arbitrarily remains today.  
The Interfaith Foundation for Community Organization IFCO-Pastors for Peace, the Cuba Sí Coalition of New York/New Jersey and the December 12th Movement agreed in recent public statements on the harm caused to the Cuban people by such a disposition in the midst of an intensified blockade.
