Havana vibrates these days with concert music.

Several venues in the Cuban capital are decked out today to welcome those who admire cultured harmonies, eager to enjoy the varied program booked for this week by the National Center of Concert Music.

This Thursday, lutenist Rosalia Mosqueda will offer a recital at the Casa de las Tejas Verdes at 3:00 p.m. local time, and one hour later, as part of the project "Concert Music, closer to you...", the Argeliers León Hall will host pianist Lianne Vega along with piano students of teacher Mercedes Estévez.

Trump's measures persist, too, because of Biden's inaction and lack of courage.

The non-fulfillment of the promise made by President Joe Biden to his voters to change the policy of the U.S. Government towards Cuba, was a claim of almost 200 Cuban-American Democrats and hundreds of Americans, by means of a letter sent to the White House.

The missive, published by the coalition of organizations against the blockade Alliance for Commitment and Respect for Cuba (Acere), conveys the disappointment for "your inaction, lack of courage and sensitivity to undo the drastic and unfounded executive measures imposed by your predecessor (Donald Trump)".

Havana Film Festival opens with a tribute to Nicolás G. Landrián.

The emblematic Havana Film Festival of this city will begin its program of activities today with a tribute to Cuban film director Nicolás Guillén Landrián (1938-2003), which will open the doors of its 24th edition.

The opening day, held at Hofstra University, will feature the screening of En un barrio viejo, Los del baile and Ociel del Toa, creations by the director, who is considered one of the members of the Cuban film avant-garde of the 1960s and early 1970s, particularly for his documentary work.

Every contribution of solidarity, no matter how small, defies the blockade, hatred and evil

More than 600 donations were collected in the United States, just 24 hours after the start of the last solidarity campaign in that nation to send food to Cuba.
The executive director of the organization The People's Forum, Manolo de los Santos, assured Granma that this shows the solidarity feeling of the American people with the Caribbean Island, in spite of the hatred and malice shown by successive US governments in their attempts to overthrow the Revolution, by tightening sanctions.
