Radio program "Voices" interviews Cuban Ambassador.

Kingstown, June 3, 2024. - The Cuban Ambassador to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, joined the radio program "Voices" of the popular radio station WEFM 99.9, and addressed numerous issues about the current situation in Cuba, as well as other linked to the bilateral relations Cuba-St. Vincent and the Grenadines, which just celebrated its 32nd anniversary.

President of the House of Assembly of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines receives the Cuban Ambassador.

Kingstown, 30 May 2024. - The Speaker of the House of Assembly of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Honourable Mrs. Rochelle Forde, received this morning the Cuban Ambassador to this country, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry.

During the meeting, Mrs. Forde reiterated the unconditional support of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to Cuba and recalled with pleasure the special session dedicated to our country, on the occasion of the official visit to this nation by Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, in December 2022.

Mrs. Forde is a Vincentian lawyer and politician and serves as president of the parliament since November 2020

Cuban Ambassador pays courtesy call to SVG Attorney General.

 

Kingstown, May 30, 2024. - The Cuban Ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, visited the headquarters of the Office of the Attorney General of this nation and was received by the Attorney General of Legal Affairs and Member of Parliament, Honourable Mr. Grenville Williams.

The meeting was an opportunity to address issues of bilateral, regional and international interest and to make vows for the strengthening of relations and cooperation between the two peoples.

Mr. Williams has been in office since November 2022.

Director of NEMO - SVG receives Ambassador of Cuba

Kingstown, May 29, 2024. - The director of the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines received the Cuban Ambassador to this country, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry.

During the meeting, the Ambassador showed interest in the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines experiences in managing and facing natural disasters and emergencies and also shared some experiences of Cuba in this regard.

The director explained about the main risks faced by Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in recent years, with particular emphasis on the eruption of the La Soufriere volcano in April 2021 and the measures taken to mitigate the effects and preserve human lives. He also referred to the measures implemented to address the effects of the current drought and the country’s preparation for the start of the coming hurricane season.
