Cuba Highlights Strong Rejection to Trump's Policy

VIENNA, June 19, 2017.-  Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Monday highlighted the strong rejection of the policy announced recently by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the Caribbean island.
 

Cuban Minister of Foreing Affairs will hold a press conference

The Minister of Foreing Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, who is paying a work visit to Austria, will hold a press conference in Vienna, on Monday, June 19th,  at 4:00 p.m (10:00 p.m. - Cuba).
 
The Cuban Minister will address important and current issues related to Cuban foreing policy.
 
The  press conference will be transmitted live by Cuban television and radio, and also by the Youtube channel of the Cuban Foreign Ministry official site (www.minrex.gob.cu).
 

Statement by the Revolutionary Government of Cuba

On June 16, 2017, US President Donald Trump delivered a speech full of hostile anti-Cuban rhetoric reminiscent of the times of open confrontation with our country in a Miami theater. He announced his government’s Cuba policy, which rolls back the progress achieved over the last two years since December 17, 2014, when Presidents Raúl Castro and Barack Obama announced the decision to re-establish diplomatic relations and engage in a process towards the normalization of bilateral relations.

Tänään aamulla Kuuban suurlähettiläs Enrique Orta González vieraili Nicaraguan Suomen diplomaattisessa edustustossa esittääkseen surunvalittelunsa ja kunnianosoituksensa nicaragualaisen papin ja entisen kanslerin Miguel D’Escoton poismenon johdosta. 
 
Surunvalittelukirjan allekirjoittamisessa kuubalainen diplomaatti kuvaili Kuuban läheisen ystävän – joka järkkymättömästi puolusti hyviä asioita, kuten oikeudenmukaisuutta, suvereniteettiä ja kansojen oikeutta elää rauhassa – poismenon aiheuttamaa surua.
